The MDLR is a very parsimonious railway (doesn't like spending money) so the opportunity for "something for (nearly) nothing" is hardly ever passed up. Thus it was with this illuminated buffer stop - the lamp was a "freebie" from the IP Engineering stand at the AGM in 2005, which had sat in my "useful things" drawer in the workshop.............
.......... the sleepers were old ones which I tend to leave around the Railway, just like the PW gangs used to. And the 98p? That was for the battery box! |
