HADDON STATION

Passengers and traincrew alike were delighted with the new addition at Haddon station which fell off Santa's sleigh in 2006 - a cast-iron gent's loo, courtesy of GRS.

The detail in the etches is quite delightful and assembly was not TOO difficult!
When the station got rebuilt, it was re-located to Over Haddon village.

Following a major rebuild, we had a station buiding, wooden platforms and lighting, all powered out of a set of batteries in the lamp room........

.............with the sidng moved to make room for the building!
Unfortunately, this all got vandalised, so........

............. a new building was purchased and built........

.............with the lighting all built in, and powered by batteries in the roof........

.......... so it's easy to take in.

The whole kit & caboodle got put out in January 2010...............

.......... though the lamp hut is now purely decorative.............
The platform needs a rebuild, as I've relaid the outer track to eliminate a long-standing running problem there and I've eased the curve somewhat.

The Juniper which grows here has not only overgrown the building site.........

.......... it's totally obliterated the siding!
